Now that the the days are warm and the sun sets so late, it feels like summer is here—I love it! To celebrate, I wanted today’s freebie to be “summer-themed.” Ok, maybe it’s more “beach-themed” than summer, but when I think of warm, sunny days I often imagine a day at the beach. But, summer-themed or beach-themed, I’m sure you’re going to love these pretty hand drawn seashells.
I think seashells are so pretty! I was shopping with my friend last weekend, and I saw a set of beach-themed jewelry with seashells and starfish—it was so cute! If that’s a new trend coming on, then I approve. If it’s a trend that’s already been going on…then I’m a little late in noticing, but I approve nonetheless (not that I’m the authority on new trends).
Unfortunately, I don’t live near the ocean right now, but I have fond memories of being in Hawaii, walking out to Goat Island, and looking for seashells. Then we’d go home, inspect our newfound treasures, and usually find that one of the shells was still being inhabited.
So, what do you have planned for these cute little seashells? I think they would make really pretty photo overlays. They would also be cool little embellishments for a beach wedding invitation design. Here’s a design I created with them:
I’m super obsessed with patterns (one of my many design obsessions), so of course I had to create one out of these seashells! What do you think?
