So…today’s blog post and design freebie comes with an extra special surprise. Davian wanted me to tell you guys that he is officially a “Big Brother to Bee!” Come February 2017, the Thomas family will be adding another member to our ranks, and we are bee-yond excited!
When I first announced my pregnancy with Davian, I made all of my siblings a little button that said “Uncle to Bee” or “Auntie to Bee.” What can I say? I really liked the bumble bee theme, and decided to stick with it the second time around.
I made this cute shirt for Davian, and let him wear it in front of my parents soon after I found out I was pregnant. My little sister picked up on it within seconds, but kept her lips sealed while we waited for my mom to figure it out. It took her a solid 10 minutes before she picked him up and said, “Wait, what are you wearing? What does that shirt say?” Followed quickly by, “Oh my goodness! Congratulations Mandee!” And some crying.
My mom is about to quadruple her grandkids between now and February. Right now, Davian is the lone, spoiled grandson; but, with my sister expecting in October, sister-in-law due in November, and myself in February, my parents are in for four-times the grandkid fun soon enough!
So, I hope you’re in the mood for some adorable baby-themed printables, because I have a feeling that this blog is about to get slightly more baby-centric. I suppose it already has. Last week, I shared a baby bottle DIY I plan of gifting to my aforementioned sister and sister-in-law. If you’ve got a baby shower on the horizon, you should definitely check it out!
If you or someone you know is looking for a cute way to create a “buzz” and share some good news, this shirt design is a perfect solution. All it takes is a plain shirt, some iron-on vinyl, and my bee design.
Enjoy the bee-utiful design! How did you share your pregnancy news with your family?
