Gender Reveal Party – Prince & Princess Pins

A few weeks ago, I announced the news of my pregnancy, and today I’m excited to let you know whether Davian is getting a little brother or sister! We held a little gender reveal party this weekend to tell the family, which I will tell you all about as well. But first, I’ve got a fun, simple freebie to share. If you’re planning a gender reveal party, these prince and princess pins are a great way for guests to show if they are on “team boy” or “team girl.”

The download also includes that little “Prince or Princess” sign I have displayed.

You know me: I’m a child at heart—still obsessed with princes and princesses. This will probably sound a little silly, but even when we’ve talked about baby names, I always like the ones that sound “royal” to me (Prince Davian: has a good ring to it, don’t you think?). I had already decided that making pins for guest would be fun, but when trying to think of a good boy/girl theme, I just had to go with prince/princess when I came up with the idea!

Honestly, the pins where probably the most “planned out” part of this whole shindig. We were only hosting family, and it was kind of last-minute, so the rest was pretty laid back. Davian and my younger siblings (I’m the oldest of ten, in case you didn’t know) sure did like the balloons, though. I mean, what kind of party doesn’t have balloons? …even if they are just scattered on the floor because you didn’t have time to hang them up or anything.

As you can see, they found an easy target for their balloon hoarding in my dad.

At a Thomas family party, you can even have someone help you curl your hair for homecoming: we don’t mind!

Gender Reveal Party

I wanted some fun pink/blue treats, and sent my poor husband to every grocery store in northern Utah looking for candy melts. The mission was unsuccessful, so we ended up just getting white chocolate and using food coloring (which worked out better than I expected)!

Ok, but enough about the party, it’s time for the BIG REVEAL! I thought it would be fun for everyone (well, excluding me), if the big reveal involved a little torture: aka, spraying Isaac and I with silly string. The trick to this is giving clear instructions to everyone before handing out the cans. Then, making sure to hand them out to the most responsible persons first, and saving the least responsible persons for last (I’m talking to you, Kaden).

Ok, everybody ready? One…two…three!!!

It’s a boy!

That’s right, Davian is getting a little brother! And baby is getting hand-me-downs (saving money, cha-ching)!

But we are seriously so excited to be welcoming another little prince into our family come February. It’s been a joy to have one little boy, and I’m super excited to have another one!

How did you pin the pins?

I just used hot glue to apply some bar pins to the backside, but you could use safety pins if you don’t have bar pins ones on hand. 🙂
