This year is my husband’s first official Father’s Day as a Daddy! He’s such a good daddy too. There’s nothing I like more than watching him make faces at our 3 month old little boy as he tries to copy what his daddy does. I’m pretty lucky: my hubby is always willing to help me out with the little one! He’ll gladly to cover a shift or two at night, he helps me out around the house when I don’t get the chance to get everything done, and he never shies away from changing a poopy diaper (I know, awesome right?).
This year, instead of buying him a card, I wanted to design one for him. I remember making “shirt and tie cards” for my dad when I was in elementary school. This one is pretty straightforward: it doesn’t require any confusing folding, or having to print on both sides of the paper.
To download the design, scroll to the bottom of this post and click the download button. For instructions on how to put this card together, read on.
Download the template and print on standard-size 8.5 x 11″ paper (cardstock is best).
Cut out the card and tie separately.
Fold the edges of the card to the center.
Fold down the corners at the top to make the “collar.”
Now you are ready to add the tie! I just used tape, but you could use glue: just be sure to only attach it to one side so that the card can open.
Voila! You have an awesome card for the father-figure in your life.
