4th of July is only a couple weeks away! Independence Day with my family is always a blast (no pun intended). My grandparent’s house is surrounded by fields, and they have tons of room to play outside. As a kid, my favorite part of the festivities was when the adults would light off parachutes and all of us kids would run around like crazy trying to catch them. When I got older, it wasn’t as fun to try and catch the parachutes, but it was fun to light them off!
Probably the coolest thing about 4th of July at my grandparent’s house is the fact that you can see up to four different city firework displays without ever having to leave their property. All we had to do was move our lawn chairs every few minutes and enjoy the show.
Today I present to you a fun and simple DIY: 4th of July favor cones. All you need to make these are:
Paper (I just used colored construction paper)
Scissors
Ribbon (optional)
Tape
And my “Stars & Stripes” printable tag
Simply fold the cones following the directions below, fill them with all kinds of yummy goodness, attach a ribbon with a tag, and voila: you have awesome favors for your 4th of July party! Now all that’s left to worry about is keeping the kids from burning each other with the sparklers (good luck)!
