Mine included a nap and feeding my new addiction to the Divergent series, so I definitely can’t complain. If you are a regular reader of Designs By Miss Mandee, then you know how much I LOVE hand drawn design: laurel wreaths, banners—you name it! I just love the personality hand drawn designs have. I actually use to be really self-conscious about my drawings. I’m not great at drawing things realistically, and most of my more cartoony drawing end up looking distorted. It wasn’t until I was showing my concept sketches to a professor one day that my mindset was changed. She saw my drawings and told me that she loved the quirky way they were rendered and thought that the lack of a distinct perspective made them all the more whimsical. Since then, I’ve learned to embrace the flaws in my technique and enjoy the personality that comes through.
