I’ve got another awesome video tutorial for you, and this ones goes right along with the freebie I shared earlier this week. Be sure to check out my last blog post to download the gold glitter texture I use in the video. I’m all about time-saving and useful tips, and if you are too, then you’re going to love this! Learn how to make gold foil or glitter type in Adobe Illustrator.
This is a tutorial that has been requested a couple of times, and it’s no wonder why: gold foil and glitter type is all the rage right now. The good news is that just creating the sparkly type isn’t difficult as long as you know what to do. The trick is using one image masked with multiple lines of text or shapes—then it gets a little tricky. But, follow my step by step instructions, and you’ll be creating glittery type, borders, and shapes in no time at all.
Note: I used CS5 in this tutorial (I know, old school), but it works the same for CS6 and Creative Cloud.
