Do you ever have those times when you’re planning things, but you don’t really think it all the way through? That was me last week! So, we moved this past weekend (first house—yay). Everything went smoothly thanks to the awesome friends and family members who lent us their time and their muscles. This week, my sister is getting married (tomorrow, in fact)! I happen to be her matron of honor, and, for some reason, when I was deciding what day to throw her a bridal shower, I chose August 6…the day before the big move. Despite this massive oversight on my part, with a few late nights, I managed to pull it off. And today I’m going to share a fun bridal shower game we played!
I grew up in a family of Disney fanatics! For my family, every vacation is a Disney Vacation—we can never get enough. My siblings and I all loved the movies as children, and my sister (the one getting married) has quite an impressive collection of hair bows based on Disney characters. So, if you know a bride-to-be who’s a Disney-lover, then this bridal shower game is a must.
The game is simple: match the Disney love songs to their movie. The reason I like it, is that everyone can participate—old and young. Plus, it’s easy to do in a large group (we had about 50 people at my sister’s shower, so this was an important factor).
And here’s one more fun and SUPER simple bridal shower game idea for you: Dressing for the Honeymoon! This is a great game to keep the guests entertained while embarrassing the bride-to-be.
All you need is:
- A suitecase
- Some random clothing items
- A blindfold
- Pen and paper
How it works:
The bride-to-be has to open the suitcase and put on all the clothing items inside as fast as she can…while blindfolded. The guests all write down how long they think it will take, and laugh along as they enjoy the show. The person who is closest to the correct time wins (but I think this game makes everyone feel like a winner)!
Her blindfold slipped off while putting on the shirt, but she was a good sport and kept her eyes closed anyway.
There you have it! Now you have some fun, fresh ideas for bridal shower games. What memorable game have you played at a bridal shower?

July 22, 2016 at 8:42 pm (7 years ago)How do u get it to let you print it off? I wanted to use this game next weekend and it won’t work
Mandee
July 25, 2016 at 12:38 pm (7 years ago)Hi Amber, I don’t think I could be much help without more info on the issue. What program are you opening the file in? Adobe Acrobat/Reader? Preview? If you try opening it in a different program, that sometimes helps. Otherwise, I would check your printer connection and settings. 🙂

August 26, 2016 at 3:44 pm (7 years ago)Assuming this is timed game, how long do you give the guests to finish? Thanks!
Mandee
August 29, 2016 at 11:39 am (7 years ago)You could make it timed if you want. I let everyone take as much time as they needed to finish (which was only about 3-5 minutes).
