Wish Upon a Star – Nursery Printable

Friday is upon us—isn’t it wonderful! I can smell the sweet sweet scent of the weekend wafting in the breeze. And, to make your Friday even more blissful, I’ve got a free printable for you! A couple weeks ago, I posted a collection of hand drawn stars, and that is the inspiration for today’s freebie. This printable is sure to help you embrace your inner child, and wish upon a star again.

I’m labeling this as a “nursery printable,” just because I think it would look oh so precious in a baby’s room. I’ve done some other fun, hipster owls and foxes as nursery prints in the past. I just love designing decor for little ones! But you could really hang this in any bedroom.

Did you wish upon stars when you were a kid? I did. The times I remember most distinctly were around Christmas time. Each year, our next-door neighbor would put up a big nativity scene in her front yard and hang a large star on a pole. At night, the star would be all lit up, and I had the perfect view of it from my window. I loved wishing on that star—for some reason, it just felt like my wish would be most likely to come true if I wished on a star that was so close.

Even if you don’t take the nursery rhyme literally as an adult, I feel like it can still relate in the way of pursuing hopes and dreams.

I hope you enjoy your lovely new printable! Also, if you like the hand drawn stars used in this design, be sure to download them for yourself.

Do you plan on using this in a nursery, or do you have other plans for this print?
