Fall is in full swing—the leaves are changing colors, Halloween in this Saturday, and Thanksgiving is only a month away! So, to celebrate, I think it’s time for another seasonal freebie, don’t you? Today, I’ve got some cute and simple autumn word overlays to share with you that I think you’ll enjoy.
Overlays can be a fun way to draw attention to a photo, and fall is the perfect season to capture beautiful photos—the gorgeous leaves, pumpkin patches, and hiking trails. And, if you want to stay in, you can take pictures of the caramel apples you just dipped, the pumpkin pie you just baked, or the cocoa you just whipped up. Last month, I shared some cool, geometric overlays that you should check out too, you know, if you want to.
I am really into hand drawn fonts! I love the rustic, and humanistic feel they give a design or image. The font I used for these overlays is called Swirlesque. I’ve used it on multiple occasions, and I just love it! It’s beautiful, flowy, and has awesome stylistic alternates.
Here at the Thomas house, we are going to be enjoying autumn to the fullest this week! We’ve got lots of fun plans, including a haunted ski lift (didn’t even know that was a thing until a week ago), witches night out (for mama and her BFF), and two trunk-or-treats! Plus, it’s Davian’s first Halloween (well, technically it’s his second Halloween, but he was too little to enjoy trick-or-treating last year, so I feel like this is his first Halloween). Let the candy hoarding begin!
Enjoy your holiday celebrations and the nice fall weather (assuming you have nice fall weather where you are)! Do you have anything fun in mind for these whimsical word overlays?
