It’s finally October! You know what that means, right—time to decorate, decorate, DECORATE! I’m a little excited, can you tell? I love getting my home all cutesied up for the fall season. Whenever I go shopping lately, I see so many cool decorations that I’d love to buy, but I can’t get too crazy (after all, Christmas is just around the corner—I definitely need to save my pennies). That’s why I’m a big fan of fun, simple, and affordable DIYs like these cute printable leaves!
I’m really liking how these turned out: simple yet beautiful. And they are a cinch to make! All you need is:
- My printable template
- Sturdy paper (I used some matte brown cardstock and one sheet of fancy, sparkly paper)
- Scissors
- A bone scorer
How to Make
Print your leaves.
(My printer couldn’t handle the sparkly paper, so I traced my leaves on the backside before cutting those ones out)
Score the leaves to add detail and form.
That’s it! What did I tell you—pretty easy, right?
I just used these to spruce up my fall tablescape, but they would work great as part of a garland, festive wreath, or even place cards. There’s really no limits to how you could use these: choose whatever fall colors suite your fancy, and just have a ball!
If you’re into making simple DIY decorations like this, you should check out my collection of printable decor freebies; especially this fall garland I posted last year. And be sure to stay tuned (I feel like I’m a radio DJ when I say that), because I’ve got even more fun fall goodies in the works. Subscribe to my emails (form in the footer), and never miss a new freebie!
I hope you enjoy this fun, simple printable. How do you like to decorate on a budget?
Happy decorating!

October 5, 2015 at 11:21 am (7 years ago)I love these! Every October we find a stick and “plant” it in a vase full of pebbles. Each day until Thanksgiving we add a leaf with a blessing written on it. On Thanksgiving we read all our blessings on the Thankfulness tree. These leave will be perfect for the fall foliage! Thanks!

October 7, 2015 at 8:19 pm (7 years ago)I Love the way you think! At my Thanksgiving Day Dinner, we each went around the table stating what we were Grateful for! I started every year, because I was a single Mom of three. Since I thought it safer for my children, Not to be exposed to my bio family, I actually had a Blast Creating My Very Own Traditions for each Holiday and each Season!
I’d love to share them with you at another time!
Blessings,
