14 – the numbers of days left until Christmas, 21 – the number of gifts I still need to wrap, 29 – the number of Christmas cards we sent out last weekend. I’ve already talked about how much I love sending and receiving merry mail, but I’ve got another fun Christmas card-themed post for you today. This year, I decided that it might be fun to add a little extra DIY touch to our letters, that’s where these miniature Christmas buntings come in.
Seriously, how cute are these. And they’re so simple to put together! All you need is:
- My Miniature Christmas Bunting Files
- Card Stock
- Mini Craft Sacks (2.5″x4″)
- Baker’s Twine
The download includes both svg files for your Cricut or Silhouette, and a printable pdf version. And I was able to pick up a couple packs of those craft sacks at Hobby Lobby.
To make my buntings, I just got a pack of kraft paper card stock with some fun patterns, and I love how it turned out. What I like about these bunting banners is that they double as both a gift and a decoration: plus, they are miniature, so that makes them automatically awesome. A few of my Christmas card recipients have already sent me pictures of their new bunting hung up in their house, which I think is super cool. These are an especially fun gift for my friends in college who don’t have much (or any) Christmas decor for their dorm/apartment.
And you don’t have to be limited to holiday cards either: these can be a fun addition to a gift basket, a simple neighbor gift, or you could even just add them to your own home decor.
Whomever you decide to give these too, it’ll definitely put a smile on their face. So, happy decorating, happy gifting, and happy holidays!
