Rainy Day Clip Art

It’s officially spring now, which means more sunshine, beautiful flowers, and never knowing whether to wear a coat or a light jacket when you go to work in the morning (I managed to make the wrong choice four out of five days last week). The inspiration for today’s blog comes from the third nuance of spring I listed: unpredictable weather. It can be 70 degrees one afternoon, and never get above 40 the next day. Today, I thought I’d share some rainy day clip art to match the all-too-familiar weather we’ve been experiencing.

To be honest, rain isn’t my favorite type of weather, but I certainly do like these rainy day motifs! Particularly the umbrellas. They would look so nice as part of a spring-themed card, or gift tags. And the clouds could make for a fun pattern or photo overlay.

I live in Utah; so, while rain is a fairly common occurrence, it never lasts very long. Most days, it just kind of sputters in and out, and you can always count on it letting up. When we went to Orlando last year, I got to find out what real rain is! I had no idea rain could be so…wet! You could stand outside in a Utah rainstorm all day long and never get as wet as you would in 5 seconds of Orlando rain. I remember coming off of the Rockin’ Rollercoaster in Hollywood Studios, and seeing everyone crowded inside; waiting for the rain to stop. We thought, “It’s just rain, how bad can it be. Let’s just run to the next ride.” Boy was that a mistake—we were soaked through for the better part of the afternoon.

If you’re having a rainy day, or week, or month, I hope these hand drawn graphics can cheer you up and bring you some springtime inspiration! Happy designing!

These are adorable. I think they’d be perfect for a baby shower announcement, too!

Just started Bible Art journaling, thanks so much for these lovely free printable’s. When I first saw the PDF’s, my heart was filled with joy, thinking how our gracious Lord Jesus has spent my 57 years raining down blessings on my family and myself. Once I create a page with them or a card, I’ll send you a picture. Wishing many blessings on your and yours. ~kathy~
