As of yesterday is is officially summer! If you’ve got some fun summer outings and get togethers on the docket, today’s post is perfect for you. These firework treat pouches paired with the limited edition Skittles America Mix are sure to add a dash of cuteness to your summer festivities as well as satisfy your sweet tooth.
Putting together the perfect party favors can be a pain: especially if you have to gather all kinds of supplies and “filler”. These favors are patriotic, fun, and super simple: all you need are Skittles America Mix, some little treat bags, and supplies you’ve already got in your craft stash.
What you Need
- Skittles America Mix
- 3″ x 4″ Treat Bags
- Staples
- My Templates
- Red, White, & Blue Card Stock
- An X-acto knife or a Cutting Machine
- Glue
How to Make
1. Fill the treat bags with your Skittles, fold the top of the bag, and staple closed.
2. Either print off my pouch templates and use an X-acto knife to cut them out, or use your cutting machine and the SVG files I provided to cut them out.
3. Fold pouches, staple the filled treat bags to the pouch, and glue the flap in place.
(Hint: front and back panels are approximately 3 3/8″, the bottom panel is approximately 1 1/4″, and the flap is approximately 3/4″. I used my pdf version as a folding template so that I didn’t need to measure each time.)
See, what did I tell you—pretty simple, right?
Skittles America Mix is perfect for Memorial Day and 4th of July, but they would also be awesome at pretty much any summer event! Use these firework favors to add a patriotic touch to your next BBQ, picnic, or warm weather get together.
