Who’s ready to get out of town? Summer is the season for road trips, but if you’ve got an antsy toddler (like me), you know it can be a…less than ideal experience. That’s why you’ve got to have two things handy at all times: snacks and activities. Today I’m sharing something I’ve created that I know will keep my toddler’s attention: a road trip sticker book.
Isn’t this fun! My son absolutely loves stickers, and cars (particularly Grandpop’s pick-up truck) are definitely one of his favorite things right now.
Print the sticker book pages on card stock and the stickers themselves on sticker paper, tie them all together, and you’ve got yourself a handy little activity to keep your toddler happy on the road. For those of you who have a cutting machine, I’ve included a “print then cut” ready SVG file you can use to make the stickers. Just make sure you set your machine to “Custom” and select “3M Post-It Notes” from the drop down menu.
For tips on preparing files for “print then cut,” check out this tutorial video (starting at 4:00).
We always get the itch to take a family road trip in the summer. This weekend, we are headed to Bear Lake and then Yellowstone. But, before we hit the road, we like to make sure our car is ready to go, and has an oil change. Getting an oil change at our local Walmart Automotive Care Center is a a quick and convenient way to make sure our car is in tip top shape. At Walmart, they make sure to use Pennzoil® High Mileage Vehicle® motor oil (because with an SUV that’s pushing 10 years old, you’d better believe we’ve racked up the miles on that puppy). Plus, we can pick up all our snacks while we wait—it’s awesome!
From June 15 – September 28, Pennzoil’s High Mileage oil (usually $39.88) is on Rollback to $35.88. Find a Walmart Automotive Care Center near you.
Enjoy this road trip sticker book, and good luck getting ready for your own cross country journey! Where is your family headed this summer?

July 31, 2016 at 7:09 am (8 years ago)What a fun idea! Our son is still a little too young for stickers, but I’m totally going to remember this for later. Road trips with kids are tough…and this is a great tip! Thanks for sharing! #client
