With my sister’s baby shower only two weeks away, and my sister-in-law’s shower right around the corner, I’ve been racking my brain trying to come up with a gift that’s cute, useful, and something they both could use as first-time mommies. Finally, I think I’ve got it! I present to you, this cute, DIY baby bottle gift. Read on to see how to put a gift like this together for yourself, and download some fun baby bottle die cuts.
When I had my baby shower, I remember getting tons of adorable outfits; which I totally loved. There were a few items I could have used more of, though, and baby bottles were definitely one of them.
Having tried out a variety of bottles when Davian was just a little guy, I found that Playtex Baby™ Nurser® with Drop-Ins® Liners are an awesome choice! They are designed to help a baby go from breast feeding to bottle feeding easily, so their perfect no matter what my sister or sister-in-law decide to do.
Pair these bottles with some cute “blanket bottles” for an exceptionally sweet gift!
What You Need
- Receiving Blankets
- Tape
- Binkies
- Ribbon/Twine
- Tulle
- Scissors
- My Printable Design (optional)
- Kabob Sticks (optional)
How To Make
1. Roll the blanket up tight, and tape to secure.
2. Attach the binky to the top by tying some twine or ribbon around it and around the rolled blanket.
3. Wrap tulle around the blanket, tying ribbon near the top for extra cuteness!
Arrange your super cute “blanket bottles” with some real ones to make an adorable gift basket any mom-to-be is sure to love! Add some sweet bottle die cuts as a bunting banner or on kabob sticks to take the adorableness up another level.
I was able to get basically everything I needed to make these gift baskets from Target, including the Playtex bottles.
You can find Playtex bottles in the baby section at Target. Plus, from 8/21 to 9/3, you can even save some money! Target is the one-stop shop for baby and the #1 place for baby registries.
Have fun putting your DIY baby bottle gift basket together! What’s something you could have used more of at your baby shower?

August 22, 2016 at 1:07 pm (7 years ago)OH MY GOODNESS Mandee. I just made a diaper wreath for a baby shower tonight and had no small decorations to put on it. I added two outfits and a stuffed toy and that is all i had. This was perfect for it. Thank you for saving my wreath. I love them.
