Merry Christmas everyone…two days ago! Now that you’re probably in Christmas recovery mode (like myself), I have one last holiday-themed printable to share with you. Yes, I know it’s late in coming, but I thought I’d share it nonetheless. Tuck this one away for next year, or use it for your after-Christmas party this week. These Christmas place cards are a fun and simple touch to your winter dinner celebration!
Growing up, my family always had dinner, did a gift exchange, and read stories on Christmas Eve. Even though a few of us are married off now, I wanted to continue the tradition. So, this past weekend, we hosted my whole family for a Christmas Eve celebration. This may not seem like a great feat, unless you know how big my immediate family is. We ended up hosting 21 people total (me, my hubby, our son, my 9 siblings, 2 siblings-in-law, 1 niece, 1 nephew, my parents, my grandma, and 2 family friends—whew). My house is not the biggest around, but somehow we made it work (luckily everyone is use to being in close quarters with each other).
We don’t usually do “formal” dinners in my family, but, since it was a special occasion, I decided to whip up some place cards. My little siblings thought it was pretty cool to have a place set aside to sit!
When it comes to my grandma, the title “Great Grandma” just wasn’t resonating with Davian for whatever reason; instead, he likes to call her “Grandma Great” (although it usually sounds more like “Grandma Grape”). Grandma doesn’t seem to mind either way.
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas weekend, and that, amidst the hustle and bustle of the season, you got a chance to relax at some point. Enjoy my set of Christmas place cards, and have an awesome last week of 2016!
