Is it too late for a Valentine’s Day post? Okay, so I’m a little late to the game this year (work has been kicking my butt lately), but I didn’t want to miss an opportunity to create and share a fun V-Day design with all of you! These die cut butterfly bows are sure to make any gift pop. Check out these cute little lovebugs, and download the cut files for yourself.
I racked my brain trying to come up with a unique, new die cut design for this year. While I was trying to decide what to make, I remembered the bows I made for Christmas a couple years back. I really loved how they looked, and they were super fun and easy to put together. That’s why I decided to do something similar for Valentines Day!
Once I had the initial butterfly shape designed, I couldn’t help but make a more intricate version to go along with it! This lovely design would go well on a gift, as part of a card, or even hung up as decoration (for Valentine’s or even just for spring).
My 3-year-old has been getting so amped for Valentine’s Day. As soon as Christmas was over, he wanted to know when the next holiday was. I told him about Valentine’s Day, but I’m not sure he realized that there isn’t quite as much buildup to Valentine’s Day as there is to Christmas. He’s at the age where all holidays are equally awesome. So, we’ve made some decorations for the house, put some cards together for his little friends, and picked out a couple gifts together.
Since we’ve spent so much time making Valentine’s Day something for him to look forward to, my husband and I feel like we can’t ditch him and go on a date (at least not that night). So, we’ve decided to spend that time together as a family: delivering Valentine cards and eating pink, heart-shaped pancakes instead.
Enjoy these cute lovebugs! Do you have any fun plans for Valentine’s Day this year?
