There are all sorts of intricate ways to dye Easter eggs nowadays, but I remember having a great time as a kid with the simple cups of colored dye and using the occasional white crayon to draw a design on the egg beforehand.
When we went to dye eggs this year, I realized that I forgot to buy white ones. We always get cage-free eggs, and they are are typically brown. Luckily, I found that brown eggs can be dyed too! During the dying process I was skeptical, but once they dried, I was amazed at how well the color took. And I actually really like the way they turned out—the more muted colors are quite pretty (in my opinion)!
