Good news—your long awaited letter has arrived! Now it’s time to step into the wizarding world, and try the sorting hat on for size. Which house will you be best suited to during your time at Hogwarts? Whether you already know the length and composition of your wand, or are a less-involved Harry Potter fan, you won’t be able to resit these totally awesome, die cut Hogwarts house crests!
Do you already know which Hogwarts house you’re a part of? If not, there’s no shortage of quizzes out there that will help you figure it out. I myself am a Hufflepuff through and through. My dreams of being in Ravenclaw didn’t exactly pan out—in the end, I am just too much of a stickler for the rules.
A little while ago, I shared a cool Ollivanders wand box template here on the blog, and I’ve been anxious to add to my growing collection of crafty Harry Potter paraphernalia ever since. Designing these house emblems took me a decent amount of time—especially with doing the lettering by hand, but I am so pleased with how they turned out! Particularly Ravenclaw (hey, I may be a Hufflepuff, but I can’t help admiring those blues and that awesome raven mascot).
Large versions of these Hogwarts house crests would be awesome decorations for a Harry Potter party! And smaller versions, like the ones I made, would be great for gift bags, or could even be used to make your own DIY school robes.
