Boys and girls of every age, wouldn’t you like to see something strange? Come with us and you will see, this, our town of Halloween. It’s here, it’s here—the newest installment in my Disney Paper Lanterns series is here! Take a stroll through the town of Halloween and enjoy the devilishly dazzling display in this Nightmare Before Christmas paper lantern.
All hail the Pumpkin King! This has been a much requested design, and I’m so stoked to finally put it out into the world! I considered doing it last year, but ended up sticking with Disney villain paper lanterns instead. And I couldn’t release this design at just any old time during the year, could I?
There is so much I love about this design! It was quite a task to incorporate everything in there how I wanted it while including as much detail as possible (without making an enemy of my Cricut in the process). I don’t think I could choose a favorite aspect of this design—I feel like it all fits together and flows very nicely.
To learn how to assemble my paper lanterns, see this tutorial.
I use a Cricut Explore to do my die cut designs, and I absolutely love it! For tips on creating this delicate paper cut, see the FAQ section on my website.
Like most all my paper lanterns, removing the final design from your cutting mat is as much of an art as the cut itself, so be sure to go slowly—especially when it comes to those little details across the top.
Enjoy putting my Nightmare Before Christmas paper lantern together! What plans do you have for this frighteningly fabulous design?

September 12, 2023 at 1:52 pm (1 year ago)Hi Mel. You computer should have a “downloads” folder that the zip folder will automatically download to. Once you’ve located that, unzip the file and upload the SVG version to your Cricut software. 🙂

Mandee

If you are cutting them out at the default size, then the score lines can be placed at 2.5″ intervals. 🙂
