January: after Christmas, but just as cold and *sometimes* even more snowy. At least here in northern Utah. With all the bad weather, and no more holidays to look forward to, it can really get you down—unless you use that time trapped indoors to craft! I’ve got another fun, winter-themed deign to share with you that is sure to spark your creative flame. These die cut yetis will make you smile and bring a unique winter flair to your next crafty project!
The other day, I saw someone create a super cute repeating pattern based around some illustrated yetis she made, and thought that yetis (also known as abominable snowmen) could make for a fun and unique “winter” cut file. You see snow men and reindeer all the time, but how often do you see a cute yeti?
I’ve been having a good time making animal designs lately. Most recently, I’ve shared some penguins and polar bears. And maybe yetis fall more into the category of “mythical creatures,” but the concept and layered style of these designs is the same.
I use a Cricut Explore to do my die cut designs, and I absolutely love it! For tips on creating fun paper cuts like this one, see the FAQ section on my website. Also, be sure to check out some other awesome winter freebies available on my blog!
Enjoy putting these adorable die cut yetis to use! Are you still enjoying winter crafting, or are you totally ready for spring to come at this point?
