Spring has sprung! Flowers are budding, the grass is turning green, and baby animals are being born. To celebrate, I decided to design some lovely little springtime critters. These die cut spring animals with flower crowns are sure to be a welcome addition to your next handmade project.
We took a Sunday drive recently and passed by some farms and livestock. It was so cute to see all the baby sheep and cows alongside their mothers! That’s where I got the idea for these cut files. I wanted to create some cute animal designs, but give them an extra “spring” touch I decided to make flower crowns for them to wear.
Feel free to use my pictures for reference when arranging the flower crowns, or let your creativity shine and arrange them however you’d like. Add more flowers or textures, use brighter colors—whatever suits your fancy. Or make a pair of animals and leave the crown off one of them to have a boy and a girl!
I made these out of paper, but I included a printable pdf template in the download if you want to try your hand at making them out of fabric or felt. Of course, if you have a Cricut Maker, you can use your fabric mat and blade to do the job easily enough.
Which animal is your favorite: the fawn, the bunny, or the lamb? I’m always partial to bunnies, but I really love how sweet the lamb turned out.
I use a Cricut Maker to do my die cut designs, and I absolutely love it! For tips on creating fun paper cuts like this one, see the FAQ section on my website. Also, be sure to check out the other awesome spring freebies available on my blog!
Enjoy putting these spring animals with flower crowns together! What ideas do you have for these little darlings?
