I was in the library the other day, in the Restricted Section, and I read something rather odd about a bit of rare magic. It’s called, as I understand it…Horcruxes. Today I’m sharing some dark magic, or rather, some dark magical objects. If you’re a fan of the wizarding world, you won’t want to miss these die cut Harry Potter Horcruxes.
It’s been little while since I’ve featured a Harry Potter-inspired design, so I thought I’d have some fun by creating some die cuts based on the seven Horcruxes Voldemort used to divide his soul.
Do you recognize all fo them?
- Tom Riddle’s Diary
- Marvolo Gaunt’s Ring
- Salazar Slytherin’s Locket
- Helga Hufflepuff’s Cup
- Rowena Ravenclaw’s Diadem
- Harry Potter
To be honest, I had forgotten about the ring until I started working on these designs: for some reason, that one always slips my mind. As far as aesthetics go, Salazar Slytherin’s locket and Rowena Ravenclaw’s diadem were definitely the most fun to put together.
It has been far too long since I read the Harry Potter series! I just might try to squeeze in a re-read sometime this year to brush up on my Harry Potter knowledge. When was the last time you read the series?
I use Adobe Illustrator for all of my designs, and a Cricut Maker to bring my creations to life. For tips on creating fun paper cuts like this one, see the FAQ section on my website. Also, be sure to check out the other awesome Harry Potter freebies available on my blog!
Enjoy putting these die cut Harry Potter Horcruxes to good use! What fun ways can you think to implement these designs?
