How can I change the color of the graphics you provide? Whether it’s in reference to my hand drawn clip art sets or the files I offer in my Etsy shops, this is a question I get A LOT! And while a few of those who reach out to me have access to Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator, most don’t. So, today I thought I’d share a free way that novice designers can make use of graphics like mine and alter their appearance. Check out my latest video tutorial, and learn how to change the color of graphics in Canva.
The main tools you will be using (in Canva):
Adjust
- Brightness
- Tint
Transparency

Like I mentioned in the video, it is (unfortunately) not possible to keep a transparent background after altering a design in Canva unless you upgrade to the Pro version ($10-$13 per month). So, if that’s an important feature for your projects, you’ll have to upgrade.
I hope you found this quick tutorial useful, and now you know how to change the color of graphics in Canva! As always, if you have a request for a future video topic, feel free to let me know. I love hearing your suggestions!
