August is here! With summer winding down, it’s time to start thinking about all things “Back to School.” Whether you’re more than ready to get the kiddos back into the school-time routine or you’re dreading the start of a new school year, I’ve got some fun new designs that are sure to spark your creativity. Use my templates to make your own fun and simple die cut back to school bookmarks.
As a book lover myself, I feel like you can never have too many bookmarks handy. It always seems like there’s never one within arms reach when you need one, doesn’t it?
These apple and ruler themed book marks are a perfect DIY touch to your child’s school supplies or as part of a teacher gift!
My husband is a high school English teacher, and has a little library of books in his classroom for students to use during personal reading time. Recently, I went to his classroom to help him with a project, and saw that he has a little mug with a random assortment of bookmarks next to his “library.” He told me that he collects bookmarks wherever he finds them so that the students have something to mark their place with from day to day. I was upset that he never informed me of this because, hello, I would be more than willing to make him some cute bookmarks!
So, while I’m always happy to share my designs with all of you lovely people, this project is one I did specifically for my husband—to replace his sad jumble of bookmarks with some that are a little more fun.
I use Adobe Illustrator for all of my designs, and a Cricut Maker to bring my creations to life. For tips on creating fun paper cuts like this one, see the FAQ section on my website. Also, be sure to check out the other awesome die cut freebies available on my blog!
Enjoy putting these die cut back to school bookmarks to good use! What are some books that you have on your reading list this year?
