The time has come—I can finally reveal a super top secret project I’ve been working on, and I am so excited that I can barely contain myself (just imagine me doing an embarrassing and ridiculous happy dance while I sit alone at my computer, and you’ve pretty much got the picture)! Today I’m launching my brand new shop, Silhouettes By Miss Mandee, where I get to combine my love for creating unique cut files with my enthusiasm for silhouette design in order to craft exquisite products for YOU!
If you follow my blog, you know that I’ve created numerous (it’s actually over 100, I just checked) Disney silhouette designs throughout the years. Two years ago, I thought it would be fun to use my design magic to make both my family and my in-laws a special Christmas gift, featuring silhouettes of each of their children.
I had an absolute blast making these! And I enjoyed it so much so that I really wanted to take this idea to market and start offering custom silhouette designs to all of you fine people.
Unfortunately, having a full-time job, plus kids, all on top of other numerous time commitments I already had outside of those two things, meant that it just wasn’t feasible. But, I kept the idea on the back-burner of my mind for a later date.
Fast-forward to September of this year—I finally took a leap of faith and quit my job in order to pursue my personal design dream full-time! Once this happened, I knew it was time to get to work on my long-thought-of shop: Silhouettes By Miss Mandee.
And here we are!
Like everything I create, I wanted my products to be extra special. So, while my shop does include a few “stock” silhouette designs available for instant download, I really wanted my custom-order listings to stand out.
Unique Features of Silhouettes By Miss Mandee
SVG Cut Files
When I create a custom order, I provide you not only with an image you can print out, but with an infinitely scaleable, vector file that you can utilize with your Cricut or Silhouette cutting machine*! Plus, I make sure that my silhouette designs will come out in one piece, so you can use them with any kind of material: wood, paper, vinyl, etching, you name it.
*Please Note: If you use a Silhouette cutting machine, you need the Designer Edition of the software in order to make use of SVG files. Otherwise, you can utilize the PNG version of the files included, but the results might not be quite as perfect.
Add-On Options
If you are interested in printing your designs, I offer a couple different frame graphics you can choose from. And, if you’re ordering for a family or bride/groom, you also have the option to include a family name, and make your design even more personal.
Layered vs Separate Images
Speaking of ordering for a family, when you place a custom family order, you have the option to layer the silhouettes or keep them separate. Layer them for a single, personalized statement piece for your living room, or use the separated, individual cut files to make each adult/child their very own gift.
Accessories
Okay, this one is my favorite! One of the most enjoyable parts about designing Disney silhouettes is adding in the little details that help you identify who they are and give the design some whimsy. So, I knew that I wanted to offer this kind of whimsy to my customers as well.
If you place an order for a single silhouette (of any category), or for a couple, there are various options available that you can choose from in order to accessorize your silhouette design! Add a fun derby hat, rock the cowboy look, or sport some bling. The choices vary slightly to match the different custom listings, so be sure to check them each out if you’re interested.
Aren’t these just so fun!? Like I mentioned, I’ve already made some of these for my family, and even did a couple for close friends who were interested, but I am absolutely ecstatic that I finally get to roll this out on a broader scale!

Are you gonna do a Facebook group? This is very exciting. Your first main project since you took over full time yay 😀 the samples you have shown are gorgeous.
