I’ve got another pretty little bauble to share with you today! Perfect for gift wrapping, card making, or fashioning hair accessories, these paper bows are a fun and simple project: sure to brighten up your day.
I made these paper bows to go with the intricate lace designs I shared last week. Don’t you just love the way they pair together?
I didn’t take pictures of the assembly process, but these are pretty straightforward. Basically, you just need to glue the skinny ends together. Then, pinch the middle section and glue that together as well. After that, just wrap the little rectangular piece around the center to finish.
A couple of the designs include a few extra layers, but that is the gist of it!
As suggested in the title of this blog post, I made these bows out of paper, but they would also work well as hair bows if you used felt! Attach them to nylon for babies, hair clips for big girls, or even headbands if you prefer.
With five different bow designs to choose from, you’ll definitely be able to make something pretty!
I use Adobe Illustrator for all of my designs, and a Cricut Maker to bring my creations to life. For tips on creating fun paper cuts like this one, see the FAQ section on my website. Also, be sure to check out the other party designs available on my blog!
Enjoy putting my paper bows to good use. Stay safe out there, and happy crafting!

If you use cricut, what setting do you cut these on?

April 30, 2020 at 9:45 am (4 years ago)I depends on your material for sure. I most often use the Recollections brand cardstock from Michaels, and, with that, I use the “light cardstock” setting. If your paper is thicker or textured, though, you’ll probably need to use the “medium cardstock” setting (possibly withe the pressure set as “more” for linen textured papers). 🙂
