Die Cut Tropical Birds – Summer Cut Files

Wherever you are, summer is the perfect time to bring out the island vibes in your crafty projects. Today’s designs feature an array of avian friends: macaws, toucans, and cockatoos too! So, gather up your colorful materials, and make some beautiful, die cut tropical birds.

The tropical leaves I shared a few weeks a go were fun, but I felt like they were missing something. These colorful birds add even more of a summer feel, and bring more vibrance to the table.

Even though we don’t have a Disney trip in the works, I have had Tiki Room vibes on the brain. Last weekend, I even painted a t-shirt with a lovely, colorful bird on the side, and an array of tropical foliage going around the neck. I’m not an experienced painter, but it turned out to be a fun little project!

These birds would work great as part of a scrapbook page, or make awesome embellishments on an island-themed t-shirt (easier than hand painting for sure)! I’m sure there are a million other ways you can think of using these designs, so I will let you get to it.

I use Adobe Illustrator for all of my designs, and a Cricut Maker to bring my creations to life. For tips on creating fun paper cuts like this one, see the FAQ section on my website. Also, be sure to check out the other summer freebies available on my blog!

Enjoy putting these die cut tropical birds to good use! Feel free to tag me in your summer crafting projects @designsbymissm.

I don’t know why, but when I opened the pdf file, the pages just had the same message repeated on the page:. “This is an Adobe® Illustrator® File that was
    saved without PDF Content.
To Place or open this le in other
applications, it should be re-saved from
Adobe Illustrator with the “Create PDF
Compatible File” option turned on. This
option is in the Illustrator Native Format
Options dialog box, which appears when
saving an Adobe Illustrator le using the
Save As command.” I don’t know why it did this, so I thought I’d share. I love the birds, I gasped when I saw your Instagram story. Can’t wait to have a flock in my room!

Your talent is truly amazing! Thank you for sharing it. I’ve always loved the Tiki Room Birds and now I will (gladly) be singing that song all day! Can you please tell me what you did for the eyes? Did you draw them in or cut them with your cutting machine?

In the Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki Room! 😄

I just drew the eyes on with a marker and used a dab of white paint to accent them!
