We are taking things under the sea with today’s cut file project. Whether you have a birthday party coming up, or are just looking for a cute accessory to make, you’re sure to love these exquisite mermaid bows!
After making some paper bows earlier this year, I thought it might be fun to up the creativity a little bit, and take my bows to the next level. With my daughter’s first birthday coming up in a couple weeks, I wanted to create a handmade element that would fit her party theme (the theme is mermaids if you haven’t guessed yet)!
My baby girl loves to swim, take baths—really do anything in the water. So, I thought a mermaid party theme would be perfect for her first birthday! I am so excited to watch her dig into some cake for the first time, celebrate her, and make a big fuss, because I feel like I really need an excuse to throw a party right now.
I have created for different mermaid bow designs for you to choose from, but these could really be layered in a variety of ways; so feel free to get creative!
I use Adobe Illustrator for all of my designs, and a Cricut Maker to bring my creations to life. For tips on creating fun paper cuts like this one, see the FAQ section on my website. Also, be sure to check out the other party designs available on my blog!
Enjoy putting my mermaid bows to good use! Do you have a mermaid lover in your family?

September 29, 2020 at 1:56 pm (3 years ago)I enjoy coming to your page each and every time. Besides the gorgeous designs, it has such a good feel to it. I know you are a silhouette lady and I actually use a scan n cut, but I have a Jen Blausey in the brother world, so between two such genuine people, make crafting enjoyable.
