As we transition from crisp leaves and cool fall temps to cozy clothes and winter snow, what better way to bridge the gap than with some caramel apples?

This is deinifely the season a sweets, and I personally love a good caramel apple this time of year. I’ve never tried my hand at making one myself, but I very much enjoy the beautiful ones found at chocolate shops!

Supplies

How to Make It

1. Use your cutting machine or X-ACTO knife, along with my template, to cut out all of the caramel apple treat box pieces.

Note: If you are using the SVG files that includes the score lines, don’t forget to set them as such in Cricut Design Space and attach them to their shapes before sending through your cutting machine. I used a lime green color to mark the score lines, so hopefully that helps! If you’re having trouble with the score lines, check out this video.

Decorating the Apples

2. If you are doing a variety of finishes (like me), first, draw/paint on any decorative elements first. Then, attach any “chocolate drizzle” pieces onto your design.

Assembling the Caramel Apples

3. Next, layer your caramel and chocolate pieces on top of the apples.

Then take your edge piece and fold along the score marks. Glue the tabs the the inside of your apple edge, starting with the bottom and working your way up, a couple tabs at a time.

Repeat with the backside.

4. Lastly, attach your popsicle stick to the inside of your apple box, and you’re finished!

I wanted to showcase a variety of caramel apple finishes, and I’m really pleased with the way they all turned out!
