Christmas Village Bakery – 3D Cut File

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Time spent with family, cherry decorations to enjoy, and lots of baked goods to go around—what’s not to love (besides the cold weather, of course)? And, speaking of baked goods, I’ve got a brand new cut file creation that is a tribute to all of my fellow pâtisserie lovers out there. Look closely, and take in the little details: this Christmas village bakery has it all!

I have been looking forward to adding to my Christmas village ever since I shared my toy store and church designs last year! I still have so many ideas for this collection in my head, but when I got the idea for a bakery, I loved it so much, that I knew it just had to be the next one I brought to life.

This project takes a fair amount of paper, and even more patience, so make yourself a nice cup of hot cocoa, put on your favorite Christmas movie, and let’s get crafting!

Supplies

How to Make It

1. Use your cutting machine or X-ACTO knife, along with my template, to cut out all of the Christmas village bakery pieces.

Note: If you are using the SVG files that includes the score lines, don’t forget to set them as such in Cricut Design Space and attach them to their shapes before sending through your cutting machine. I used a lime green color to mark the score lines, so hopefully that helps! If you’re having trouble with the score lines, check out this video.

Prepping & Layering

2. Start by layering all of your embellishment pieces onto your structural elements. This is also a good time to draw in your sign verbiage.

Attach the vellum to the interior of your window frames, and the Dura-Lar film to the inside of the display window piece.

Assembling the Main Structure

3. The first step in assembling the main structure is to form and attach the bakery display window.

Assemble a basket of baguettes, your cake, and the cupcake display stand.

Assemble your window display into a 5-sided box, and layer the baked good inside using hot glue and foam tape. Then, use the tabs to attach it to the inside of the front wall.

4. Use the tabs provided to attach your walls together like so.

After all the walls are in place, you can add your cute little bakers at the front door and side window.

5. Next, it’s time to work on the roof.

Start by assembling the three chimneys. Fold along the score lines, and glue the tabs to the interior. Layer the grey strips around the tops.

Fold the roof pieces along the score lines provided. Attach the two matching chimneys to the flat roof piece before attaching it to the main structure.

Then, attach both the flat and pitched roof pieces to their respective places.

6. Layer the grey roof piece on top of the pitched side, ensuring that the scalloped overhang is on the front. Then, attach the third chimney, gluing the tabs to the interior of the roof.

Fold and attach the stairs to the front, left side of the structure.

You can also add your large “bakery” sign and “hot cocoa” signs at this time as well.

Finishing Touches

7. Lastly, assemble the base by attaching the tabs provided to the inside of the main frame.

Then, add your wreaths, ribbons, extra baguette baskets, and bushes to the exterior of the bakery.

All that’s left to do now is admire your beautiful handiwork!

Christmas Village Bakery

When sketching out this design, I wanted it to have a fair amount of whimsy, and felt like it should include a big display window for all the yummy treats. And, seeing it all put together, that window is definitely my favorite part!

I use Adobe Illustrator for all of my designs, and a Cricut Maker to bring my creations to life. For tips on creating fun paper cuts like this one, see the FAQ section on my website. Also, be sure to check out the other holiday freebies available on my blog!

Enjoy making your very own, Christmas village bakery! I hope you have as much fun putting it together as I did. Be sure to share your masterpiece with me on Instagram!

This is so detailed, you are a very talented person! I thank you so much for sharing all you Christmas Village creations with us. I am making them for my granddaughters to put in their bedroom, they love the two you made already and will love this one just as much if not more because it is a toy store after all 🙂 I have a Cricut and was wondering if anyone has made a larger size of any of the building of the Christmas Village you created? I was thinking of making some for our Church to put up by the altar for all to enjoy and then I would just add to them as you create and share them with us 🙂 Thank you again for this wonderful gift and have a blessed Christmas season.

That’s wonderful Colleen! I’m glad you are enjoying these designs!!

I haven’t made any larger scale versions myself. You could scale any of them up slightly if you have larger paper, but would need to make some extra cuts and more tabs if you want to go larger than 12″ wide.

      Have a Merry Christmas!!

Oh this is gorgeous! Just curious though, why the pdf and svg pieces are different sizes? I don’t have the big cricut but like to cut the smaller pieces with my Cricut Joy. Somehow the svg pieces come out bigger than the pdf.

      Hi Sarah,

The pieces are the same size in both the PDF and SVG files. The pdf is really just there for people who are interested in printing the design and cutting it out by hand.

I’ve never used a Cricut Joy myself, but What may be happening is that Design Space could be shrinking down the pieces in order to fit them properly on your material. I have had that happen to me once before.
