With Christmas just a couple weeks away, I hope you are getting lots of quality crafting time in! Today, I’ve got a fun and simple project that is perfect for holiday lovers and Disney fanatics alike. Make these special Mickey Christmas ornaments for your own tree, or mail them to a loved one to show them you care.
Pretty cute, huh!? And, besides being delightful ornaments, they double as great gift tags too!
When I initially had this idea, I only thought of the peppermint design; but, of course, I had to do more than just that! That’s why I added the layered, dimensional ornament (which kind of reminds me of the RFID scanners at Disney World, anyone else get that vibe?), as well as the monogram designs.
The peppermint one is still my favorite, though. How about you?
When I was making these, my son, Elliott, came to help. He loves to push the buttons on my Cricut machine and assist in taking the mats out. When I showed him that I made a special “E” ornament just for him, it was all I could do to keep him from running off with it before I snapped a quick picture.
I use Adobe Illustrator for all of my designs, and a Cricut Maker to bring my creations to life. For tips on creating fun paper cuts like this one, see the FAQ section on my website. Also, be sure to check out the other holiday freebies available on my blog!
Enjoy making your very own, adorable Mickey Christmas ornaments! I hope you have as much fun putting it together as I did. Be sure to share your results with me on Instagram!

December 11, 2020 at 11:01 am (4 years ago)Thank you! I used glitter cardstock and shimmer cardstock. And the backs are just blank. I could have gone the extra mile and made them double-sided, but but I didn’t. 😁

December 17, 2020 at 6:54 am (4 years ago)These are adorable! I will use the swirl one as ornaments on a scrapbook page when we were in Disney one Christmas. Question……. any advice on what glue to use when adhering cardstock to glitter paper? I haven’t found one that really sticks. Love your files! Thank you!

December 17, 2020 at 11:51 am (4 years ago)So glad you like them! They will look lovely as part of your scrapbook page.
I just use good old fashioned hot glue. Sometimes I have to apply the glue twice, but it usually works for me the first time around. 🙂
