How to Make It

1. Use your cutting machine or X-ACTO knife, along with my template, to cut out all of the 4th of July basket pieces.

Note: If you are using the SVG files that includes the score lines, don’t forget to set them as such in Cricut Design Space and attach them to their shapes before sending them through your cutting machine. I used a lime green color to mark the score lines, so hopefully that helps! If you’re having trouble with the score lines, check out this video.

2. Layer the blue, star pieces on the top of each white piece.

Then, weave the red strips through the white, verticle strips—gluing them at the ends.

3. Attach the bottom tabs of the three smaller sections to the inside of the base section.

Fold in the side tabs, and glue the four sides together.

Lastly, glue the red square to the Inside of the base to give the basket more rigidity and cover the bottom tabs.

Super cute, and not that hard to make—these baskets are a perfect, crafty project for summer! Fill them with party favors, noisemakers, of yummy baked goods.

I use Adobe Illustrator for all of my designs, and a Cricut Maker to bring my creations to life. For tips on creating fun paper cuts like this one, see the FAQ section on my website. Also, be sure to check out the other 4th of July freebies available on my blog!

Enjoy making your very own 4th of July baskets! I hope you have as much fun putting them together as I did. Be sure to share your patriotic results with me on Instagram!

    Hi Mandee,
Thank you so much for sharing your adorable creation. I love the simplicity of this project and who knows, I might even get some made. Your basket could be adapted to suit anytime of year and would make great favors at a party. Thank you again.
