It’s been a while since I’ve done a stylized cut file project like this, and it was a lot of fun! Incorporating lots of little tiny details throughout the design in a recognizable but aesthetically pleasing way was a great challenge that I thoroughly enjoyed.
I have a neighbor that keeps bees, so I see the cute little guys hanging around my raspberry bushes all the time. We also planted some sunflowers that are just starting to open up, and the bees are loving them!
After being stung by a bee earlier this year, though, my 4-year-old son is…less of a fan of these little pollinators than I am.
I use Adobe Illustrator for all of my designs, and a Cricut Maker to bring my creations to life. For tips on creating fun paper cuts like this one, see the FAQ section on my website. Also, be sure to check out the other plant and animal freebies available on my blog!
Enjoy putting these intricate honey bees to good use. And don’t forget to share your super cute, finished creations with me on Instagram!
