Even though it is still a little too early to get out on the lake, it’s never a bad time to make a cute craft! And today’s craft has cute in spades. So, grab a couple sheets of cardstock and make some adorable little swan boats with me!

I always thought those little swan paddleboats looked so fun and romantic! It wasn’t until I was a teenager and actually tried a paddleboat for the first time that I realized just how much work they are! So, maybe not as much romantic as it is a good couple’s workout. But still fun!

These boats aren’t too difficult to put together. You’ll just fold the tabs along the score lines and glue them to the inside of the walls of the boat. Then, attach the swan pieces to the outside. If you have any trouble setting up the score lines, be sure to check out this video.
Swans are one of my favorite birds out there! Though, the more I learn about different types of birds, the harder it is to pick a true favorite. But, be that as it may, I have always wanted to see a swan here in Utah (in the wild). We have gone bird-watching as a family in the past, but we’ve been going more regularly this year. And our more frequent birding trips have paid off!
I use Adobe Illustrator for all of my designs, and a Cricut Maker to bring my creations to life. For tips on creating fun paper cuts like this one, see the FAQ section on my website. Also, be sure to check out the other fun freebies available on my blog!
Enjoy putting these swan boats together. And don’t forget to share your adorable little finished project with me on Instagram!
