I know I say this every year, but Easter is my favorite holiday! I love the warmer weather, and all the family traditions are so much fun. Though, my 5-year-old is still upset that he didn’t find the golden egg in last year’s family Easter egg hunt. I have assured him (many times) that I will do my best to help him find the all-important golden egg this year.
As a way to pay homage to that family tradition, I made sure to include one golden egg in this Easter basket.
The main focus of this card is obviously the large Easter basket full of colorful eggs and flowers, but I think those little bunnies really steal the show for me. I’ve always been a sucker for rabbits (probably another reason I like Easter so much).
This card also includes a fun front cover, wishing the recipient a “Happy Easter.” When I was designing this card, I didn’t realize that the basket was going to poke out a bit, but I suppose it just looks like the card has a handle now.
I use Adobe Illustrator for all of my designs, and a Cricut Maker to bring my creations to life. For tips on creating fun paper cuts like this one, see the FAQ section on my website. Also, be sure to check out the other fun freebies available on my blog!
Enjoy putting this Easter pop-up card together. And don’t forget to share your adorable, finished creation with me on Instagram!
