Father’s Day is coming up soon, and that means that it is time to handcraft something for dear old dad! This year, spoil him with a sophisticated and heartfelt gift. Gather up all your fanciest cardstock, and make this Father’s Day paper art scene with me!

Designing intricate, 3D art scenes like this is starting to become an addiction of mine. Even though they take a while to flesh out, I just love the simplicity of how they come together, and how amazingly complex they look when they do!
If you need help figuring out how to assemble this project, check out the tutorial I shared with this design!
Not going to lie, Father’s Day is always a tricky holiday for me in regards to design ideas. I don’t want to just keep rehashing neckties and sports motifs. So, for this project, I fell back on one of my favorite design styles of all time—art deco! Because who couldn’t use a little more gilded elegance in their life?
Whether your dad rocks a 5 piece suit every day of the week, or is more apt to wear sweatpants and a team jersey, he’ll feel like a million bucks when you give him this!
I use Adobe Illustrator for all of my designs, and a Cricut Maker to bring my creations to life. For tips on creating fun paper cuts like this one, see the FAQ section on my website. Also, be sure to check out the other fun freebies available on my blog!
Enjoy putting my Father’s Day paper art scene together. And don’t forget to share your luxurious finished project with me on Instagram!

June 14, 2022 at 5:24 pm (2 years ago)Art Deco-style cards are a favorite. Add that to the shadow-box effect, and this card is a hit out of the park. I am going to have a difficult time giving this one away. I should make two!

July 6, 2022 at 10:50 am (2 years ago)It came as part of a paper pack I got from Michael’s a while back. I don’t know if they still carry it, but I’ve found it here on Amazon if you’re interested. 🙂
