I was so glad that my supporters picked this design! I’ve been wanting to create more projects that incorporate 3D flowers. Plus, this project was the perfect excuse for me to put my new Sizzix Embossing Machine to the test! I don’t know why it took me so long to pull the trigger and get one of these things, but now I can’t stop thinking about all the things I want to emboss.
I only embossed one piece in this design, but I think it adds just the right decorative touch!
This project does include a layer intended to be cut from a piece of Dura-Lar film. This is so you can add foam tape about the edges and fill the larger arch with glitter/beads. If you don’t have these supplies readily available, or you simply aren’t interested in creating a “shaker” effect, then don’t worry about that light blue layer in the design.
This cake topper is perfect for birthdays, weddings, or even just a fun spring or summer event! The flowers can be arranged however you like, so if you want to incorporate a name or number, you can easily do so.
