I shared some gnome treat boxes earlier this year for Valentine’s Day. I couldn’t get over how darling they turned out! So, when I was thinking of ideas for Halloween, I thought it would be fun to re-imagine those boxes, but as witches this time!

Watch a short video of me putting this project together on Instagram.

I had a lot of fun with these little witches. Some of my Halloween projects are more macabre, but these sweet little sorceresses are just plain cute! They are really simple to put together, but you can still find ways to make them unique. By decorating their hats, switching up the things they hold, or by dangling a little spider or gem from the end of their hats, you can give each witch her own, distinctive “charm.” I especially enjoyed using my new embossing machine to add some texture to a couple of the hats!

I use Adobe Illustrator for all my designs, and a Cricut Maker to bring my creations to life. For tips on creating fun paper cuts like this one, see the FAQ section on my website. Also, be sure to check out the other Halloween freebies available on my blog!

This is a fun project for kids and adults alike, and these containers would make absolutely adorable favor boxes for a Halloween party.

Enjoy making these Halloween witch treat boxes! And, as always, be sure to share your frightful results with me on Instagram.

These are adorable! If I wanted to add faces in the same color as the hands, would you recommend just cutting circles and gluing them behind the hair and details, or would you recommend cutting them to fit the actual negative space?

That would be fun! I would just cut circles or ovals an place them behind the other layers. 😊
