Potion Bottles – Halloween Cut Files

I’ve got another eerie project “brewing!” And we are sticking with the witchy theme once again. Encapsulate any contemptible concoctions you cook up in one of these witch-approved potion bottles.

As per usual, I couldn’t decide on just one design—especially when potion bottles can come in all shapes and sizes!

Potion Bottles

Watch a short video of me putting this project together on Instagram.

I knew that I wanted to make at least one “shaker” bottle that looked like it was partially filled with liquid (the red one). And I was really pleased with how that one looked when I finished putting it together. The other two bottles are fairly straightforward to make; but, if you include the shaker element, this one does take a couple of extra steps.

This is definitely a project that works well with any fun glitter, patterned, or metallic, paper you might have available! Usually I don’t layer metallic papers together, but I decided to go for it with the blue, spider bottle, and I was pleasantly surprised with how cool it turned out! I mean, just look at that eerie little reflection being cast by my spider! It makes it look like there is another one trapped inside the bottle.

I use Adobe Illustrator for all my designs, and a Cricut Maker to bring my creations to life. For tips on creating fun paper cuts like this one, see the FAQ section on my website. Also, be sure to check out the other Halloween freebies available on my blog!

Enjoy making these devilish little, potion bottles! And, as always, be sure to share your frightful results with me on Instagram!

LOVE the Halloween content. Your designs are fun without the ‘creep’ factor some artists insist be part of spooky time.
