These lovely designs were picked by my wonderful patrons! Each month, my Patreon subscribers help me choose a couple of the projects I create, and these designs were one of the top picks for the month of November.

I feel like it’s been quite some time since I’ve made a design with a primary focus on having elaborately detailed patterns within it. As much as I enjoy making 3D models and papercrafts, this project was a fun deviation; where I feel like I had the chance to be a little more expressive and artistic.

And the fun thing about these trees is that they can be used in SO many different ways! I tried to showcase a few examples here—as part of a card, folded/glued to be a 3D decoration, or simply to be showcased as a lovely, 2D Christmas tree that you can use however it suits you.

I use Adobe Illustrator for all of my designs, and a Cricut Maker to bring my creations to life. For tips on creating fun paper cuts like this one, see the FAQ section on my website. Also, be sure to check out the other die cut freebies available on my blog!

Enjoy putting these intricate Christmas trees together. No matter how you choose to implement these designs, I’m sure that they will be stunning. And don’t forget to share your festive finished projects with me on Instagram!

Hello! 🙂 this project is gorgeous! But when I go to download the file- it says file type unsupported.. I’m using my iPhone, could that be the issue? Please advise.

Thank you for your time and help,

Hi Akacia! Sorry you are having trouble. Did you unzip the file before uploading it to your program? If you are using a Cricut, then you can use either of the SVG files included in the download. If you have a Silhouette machine, then you will need the Designer edition of their sofware in order to use the file. Hope that helps!
