I thought it would be fun to do a swanky, upscale design for Father’s Day this year. I always love an Art Deco theme, so I decided to go that route but keep the focus on palm motifs. Overall, I love the linework and the general air of sophistication this card gives off!

For the interior, be sure to set the “Dad” text to “draw” lines before sending to cut. And, of course, set and attach the score lines to their larger shapes as well. If you are struggling with the setup in Cricut Design Space, check out this video.

Of course, if you want to re-purpose this design for an occasion other than Father’s Day, you definitely can! Just delete the text layer in the design and you are good to go.

If you are curious, the paper that I used for the envelope liner came from the Floral Couture paper pack found at Joann’s, and the paper used for the outside of the envelope came from the Dark Elegance paper pack by Craft Smart.

I use Adobe Illustrator for all my designs, and a Cricut Maker to bring my creations to life. For tips on creating fun paper cuts like this one, see the FAQ section on my website. Also, be sure to check out the other fun freebies available on my blog!

Enjoy making this elegant palm card for someone you love! And, as always, be sure to share your finished results with me on Instagram.
