With the fall season underway, it is time for cozy sweaters and even cozier craft projects! And to get you in the autumn spirit, I’ve got a charming little project that is sure to scratch that creative itch. So, pour yourself a nice cup of tea, and let’s make this fall stained glass window scene together.

Watch a short video of me putting this project together on Instagram.

Included in the design download is a layering order guide. You can either attach each layer together with glue or foam tape, depending on how much depth you want for your project. As for myself, I did a mix of both—using foam tape for the majority of my layers, but gluing a few here and there.

I always have so much fun when designing layered shadowbox designs like this! For this particular project, I drew inspiration from stained glass windows. I knew that I wanted to include some pumpkins and fall leaves, but it took me a while to decide what to have as the focal point of this piece. Since I was working with lots of red and orange hues, I decided to continue that color palette right on through with a sly little fox.

I use Adobe Illustrator for all my designs, and a Cricut Maker to bring my creations to life. For tips on creating fun paper cuts like this one, see the FAQ section on my website. Also, be sure to check out the other fun freebies available on my blog!

Enjoy making this fall stained glass window scene for yourself! I’d love to see your results, so be sure to share them with me by either tagging me on Instagram or by sharing your work in my Facebook Group.

Can you make a version of this that matches the stained glass designs? I love your other stained glass designs and I have them hanging on my window, and I would love this one to match!

I don’t plan on making an alternate version of this project, but it’s good to know that you have enjoyed the stained glass designs I’ve shared in the past! I will definitely keep that in mind for future projects.
