One of my favorite parts about springtime is seeing all of the birds that have traveled back north for the spring and summer seasons! I always try to keep the birdfeeder outside my office window full so that they are more incentivized to hang around.

Birdhouse Box Card

Learn how to assemble this adorable birdhouse box card.

Materials

Instructions

  • Use your cutting machine or X-ACTO knife, along with my template, to cut out all of the pieces for your birdhouse box card.
Note: If you are using the SVG files that includes the score lines, don't forget to set them as such in Cricut Design Space and attach them to their shapes before sending them through your cutting machine. I used a lime green color to mark the score lines, so hopefully that helps! If you're having trouble with the score lines, check out this video.
  • Start by layering your leaves, strawberries, white flowers, and yellow flowers onto your backing piece. Layer your birdhouse like so. Arrange the pink blossoms on the tree branches, along with the two little birds.
  • Fold each piece along the score lines. Glue the tabs on the backing piece to the inside of the folded panels of the birdhouse layer.
    Attach the bird/branch layer next.
Glue the panels of the fence piece on last. Your birdhouse box card is complete!

Notes

This card is designed to fit within an A7 envelope.

I mean, it just doesn’t get more “spring” than this, now does it?

Box cards are quickly becoming my favorite type of card to design! Not only are they effective as greeting cards, but they make such lovely little decorative pieces as well. And, with Mother’s Day around the corner, I’m sure there is a woman in your life who would appreciate these beautiful little birdies.
